Annapurna Region is not an administrative region; however, the area lies between two zones of Nepal. Gandaki and Dhaulagiri zones are the two significant zones comprising the Annapurna Region. Famous districts like Baglung, Kaski, Manang, Lamjung, Mustang, and Myagdi are within the Annapurna region. Pokhara and Besi Sahar, Lamjung is the primary gateway to enter the Annapurna.

Mustang is within the Annapurna in the western part of Nepal linked with the Tibetan border. The initial entry point for the major of the destination in the Annapurna is Pokhara. Crossing Beni towards Jomsom along with the flow of Kaligandaki river and further to Jomsom, Kagbeni, and Muktinath is a famous path towards Lower Mustang.
